Sample School Charts 

The charts in each issue of Schoolhouse Magazine® will give you important information about schools in a convenient grid format.

The magazine contains over 80 comparative data, which includes everything from the age of the buildings, education of the teachers, special classes offered, to ACT & SAT test scores, and how many go on to college.


Sample School Descriptions  

Below is a sample of the narrative briefs which we provide for every school district in the X and Y area.

District X serves Community X, Y, and Z. There are eight elementary schools (K-5), three middle schools (6-8) two senior highs and two alternative senior highs, including an Area Learning Center.

Each school chooses its own organization and delivery model for the district curriculum. Parents participate in school and district advisory committees and schools have strong volunteer programs. Teachers, parents and administrators review curriculum on a rotating cycle.

The district has an extensive instructional technology program. Each school has interative cable capability and computer labs. Computers are used to aid instruction, gain access to information, monitor progress, assure computer literacy and teach word processing.

District resource teachers coordinate programs for the gifted. Secondary students have advanced placement classes. College in the Schools, a teacher advocate program and mentorships. Elementary and secondary students compete successfully in academic competitions including International Future Problem Solving and Odyssey of the Mind.

Special education services are available for a variety of needs from birth through age 21. Specific programs are offered for students with learning disabilities, mental handicaps, speech and language disabilities, emotional-behavorial disorders, and physical and perceptual disabilities. The district offers adaptive physical education, physical and occupational therapy, health services, social workers and psychologists.

District X students perform above national averages in standardized tests at all grades and the district produces a high number of merit scholars. Many students enter college with credits earned through high school programs.

District X considers its strengths to be its high-quality programs, developed in partnership between staff and parents. Its financial condition is sound.
